Asus continues to define the standard netbook with 1000HE new Eee PC. Although the difference from previous models by 10 inches is very small it continues in the tradition Eee PC to provide good value for your money.
An improvement in the 1000HE processor is slightly faster at 1.66 GHz Atom N280 (compared to the N270 at 1.6 GHz) with a greater FSB speed - 667 MHz instead of 533). The difference here is sensitive, but just barely.

Design
Asus insists on the use of shiny surfaces on most netbooks Eee series, which looks interesting, but also attracts a large number of fingerprints. From the front, you can see the color aluminum inclined trackpad buttons, even when the lid is closed, and he also has four LEDs to indicate power, hard drive activity, wireless and battery.
The Eee 1000HE made good use of limited space available and has a keyboard almost full-size (92% of the size of standard notebook) and ease of use, large trackpad with buttons on front corner. Oblique buttons feel a little strange at first, but once you get used to them you wonder why it is not more frequent.
Overall, Asus has done an excellent job with the design of 1000HE, even if very little has changed since the previous models. But why change a good thing?
Features and performance
comparisons of performance in depth and calibration are not much sense that the netbooks with laptop-size, since most of them use almost identical components. Naturally increase the speed 0.06GHz CPU does not differentiate performance important, it provides a little boost by increasing the FSB speed. On average, its performance is slightly above par in the netbook segment.
ASUS claims it can provide a battery life of up to 9.5 hours, but probably requires that you keep it idle with the screen brightness refused and WLAN disabled for the duration, but you can stillWhen the battery is almost squeeze out of the transatlantic 6-cell - 7 hours and 10 minutes in our test of general use, an excellent result anyway.
Connectivity
All ports are placed on the sides of the laptop - the left side has an Ethernet port, USB port and audio line-in and line-out. On the right side is a memory card reader, another 2 USB ports and VGA output. The Wi-Fi card offers support for draft-n, which gives you access to wireless technology the fastest yet.
Conclusion
The ASUS Eee PC 1000HE is a bit bulky compared to some "premium" and the more expensive netbooks, but overall you get more for your money with the Eee compared to other brands. Its keyboard and trackpad are very comfortable to use, and the system is very well built. The best part, however, is the 7 + hours of battery life, you can squeeze out of it, which is much better than average.
